Surfers Paradise Cricket Club

Improve, Compete, have Fun! Welcome to our club website.

Surfers Paradise Cricket Club was established in 1975 consisting of 4 senior teams in the local competition.

In 1980, the club moved from the Isle of Capri sporting oval to its current location at Sir Bruce Small Park the club has established cricketing facilities second to none and maintains that standard through a policy of continual reinvestment in our assets. Our cricket facilities boast three ovals including a large, flood lit main oval with turf pitch (Dave Johnson Oval), two sets of training nets and generous sized change rooms. The club rooms feature a large, breezy covered deck for spectators and a brand new bar and kitchen. But the best thing about the Dees is the people. Inspired by club coach and Queensland Bulls representative, Chris Swan’s motto of “Improve, Compete, have Fun”, the club has a very inclusive and close knit culture, ready to welcome all newcomers sharing our ideals.

Today, the club is proud to offer the Gold Coast’s strongest junior program and we welcome aspiring young cricketers from Milo level, right through to under 17’s. Over the years, several Demons juniors have worked their way through the local cricket system, going on to higher achievements at the district, state and national levels. Check out SPCC junior, Xavier Bartlett’s Cricket Australia profile here. We are immensely proud of Xav and all he has achieved!

Our senior club supports social cricket lovers and players looking to test themselves against the best. No matter how young, or young at heart, there is a place for you at the Surfers Paradise Cricket Club.
