Surfers Paradise Cricket Club was established in 1975 consisting of 4 senior teams in the local competition.
In 1980, the club moved from the Isle of Capri sporting oval to its current location at Sir Bruce Small Park and were the only tenants there for 3 years when the AFL Club relocated to the oval. On the move in 1980, the club established its juniors in all grades from under 8 to 16 and has had several juniors work their way through the ranks and going onto higher achievements.
These will be listed here shortly. The club has established from scratch a facility second to none on the Gold Coast and will strive to continue to improve the facilities at Sir Bruce Small Oval. We have seen the setup of a turf pitch, new nets with lighting, new lighting on the oval acceptable to play night cricket, new change rooms, gym and club house facilities, the establishment of two ovals for lower grade and junior cricket.
We have seen several high profile state and national representatives playing at our club and several international visitors from all parts of the Surfers Paradise empire.
